Money and Corruption: What Is it About Money that Allows it to Corrupt
BLUE Community Fellow
2025

Background

I intend to explore why money can cause individuals to become corrupted and examine what factors can influence it. It is also an exploration of the meaning of these terms since different meanings and interpretations are associated with this question. I will also look at what kind of themes are connected such as power, social classes, poverty, etc. I will research different books, fiction or non-fiction, across any discipline. It would be my goal to analyze what meanings and interpretations of what it is about money that allow people to be corrupted and whether society is still going that way. I also want to look at philosophical texts. I aim to connect as many disciplines in the social sciences and the arts. My final result may be an art piece such as creative writing.
